WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
Growing School Robotics in Hawke's Bay
Robotics and Computer Science in Schools Educational Trust was created to promote computer science and robotics opportunities for schools and children. Our first task is to increase robotics in schools by introducing the VEX Robotics platform to raise the number of students participating in VEX Robotics competitions. These are regional, and National competitions held every year. Currently, Hawke's Bay schools wishing to participate have to travel to Palmerston North.
Robotics and Computer Science in Schools Educational Trust is raising funds to provide training and robots to schools/teachers to allow them to set up and run robotics clubs. Working with Hastings Library we will be running a STEAM Club at their premises on a Thursday from Week 5 next term. There we will provide free expert help to children taking part. There is no cost for children to be involved in this club.

"There are an endless number of things to discover about robotics. A lot of it is just too fantastic for people to believe."
