The digital curriculum for Year 1-10 students in New Zealand covers two key areas: computational thinking and designing and developing digital outcomes.
Computational thinking is about understanding the computer science principles that underlie all digital technologies, and designing and developing digital outcomes involves learning how to use different digital technologies to create digital content across a range of media.
We’re working on developing the CS4S Teachers’ Network. It’s designed to keep teachers up-to-date with the changes in the digital space and provide a welcoming environment to ask questions and share ideas. Register to join now – it’s free: www.cs4strust.org.nz
